Diana Lee Shearer, 66, of Wellington, passed away on Sunday January 19, 2014. She was born on August 29, 1947 in Oberlin to Betty (nee Thudium) and Paul "Red" D. Wacker. Diana was a 1965 graduate of Wellington High School. After high school, Diana went to cosmetology school and worked as a beautician for 5 years. She worked with her brothers milking cows for 20 years at Wacker Brothers Dairy farm and then at Ames for a few years. Diana then milked for Dovin Dairy farm for 10 years. Diana was a member of the Brighton United Methodist Church. She loved spending time with her grandkids and attending their sporting events. She also enjoyed time spent outdoors camping and canoeing. Diana is survived by her loving husband of nearly 46 years, Frederick; mother, Betty Wacker; children, Tracy (Kenneth) Bender of North Ridgeville, Brian (Jeannine) Shearer of Brighton, and Kelly (Mike) Joppeck of Wellington; grandchildren Kyle, Kody, Kayla, Jeremy, Julia, Zachary, Maxwell, Nathan, and Matthew; and her brothers Clinton (Kathy) Wacker of Wellington, Donald (Linda) Wacker of New London, and Glen (Lisa) Wacker of Nova. She was preceded in death by her father Paul "Red" Wacker in 2004. A private immediate family service will be held at a later date.
