Diane Buskey, 85, of Greenwich, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, March 11, 2023, at Willard Mercy Hospital.

Diane was born on February 13, 1938, in Fitchburg, Massachusetts to the late Thomas and Sylvia (Oinonen) Meldrum. She graduated from Fitchburg High School as a member of the 1955 class. Diane has been a resident of Greenwich since 1963. She was a member of the Ladies Historical Society of Greenwich and enjoyed volunteering at Mercy Hospital in Willard for many years. Diane was skilled at making jewelry and enjoyed giving the pieces to family and friends.

Diane is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Bob Buskey; 3 children, Susan (Steve) McCormack of Greenwich, Paul (Dawn) Buskey of Whitehouse, OH, and Stephanie (Roger Hunter) Baker of  Linden, MI; 5 grandchildren, Kaileigh (Shane) Stuchlik, Taylor (Sean Weaver) Buskey, Camryn Buskey, Michael Baker (Bobby Lochotzki), and Alex Baker; 2 great-grandchildren, Evan Stuchlik and Lily Stuchlik; sister, Marcia (Philip) Gendron and family; sister-in-law, Lois Murray (Jack Haggis), and wonderful caregiver, Jodi Schmidt.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Sylvia (Oinonen) Meldrum.

The family will hold a graveside service at the Greenwich Greenlawn Cemetery on Saturday, June 17, 2023, beginning at 9:00 a.m.  Following the graveside service, friends and family are invited to the Buskey home for a cookout and celebration of life to honor Diane's memory.  The gathering will begin between 10-11 a.m. Eastman Funeral Home is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
