Dixie L. Cline, 84, of Nova, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2026.

Dixie was born on October 15, 1941, in Ashland, Ohio, to the late James H. and Josephine (Nelson) Coffman. She was a 1959 graduate of Ashland High School.

Dixie retired from Hedstrom Corporation after more than 30 years of dedicated employment. She was also a member of Wiggle Town AMVETS Post 149 and was a member of The Heritage Club, at the Huron County Fair for more than 30 years.

Dixie will be remembered fondly for her love of fishing—a love she certainly passed along to her boys. Many, many weekends were spent together at Lake Erie, creating memories that her family will treasure for years to come.

When she wasn’t fishing, Dixie enjoyed sewing, crocheting, playing cards and bingo, and she had excellent puzzle skills. She especially loved creating things with her hands. It wasn’t unusual to find Dixie at a local—and sometimes not-so-local—craft show, proudly displaying her handmade creations. From towels and blankets to potholders, bowl and plate cozies, and just about anything else she decided to put together, Dixie always seemed to have another project in the works.

Above all, Dixie loved her family dearly and cherished the time and memories they shared.

She is survived by her sons, Randy (Sandy Lomax) Cline and Robert (Sandy) Cline, both of Nova; her sister, MaryAnn Meyer; grandchildren, Maria Cline and Nathan Cline; great-grandchildren, Preston Dininger and Joshua Dininger; her special friend, Joe Brown; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and others whom she loved dearly.

In addition to her parents, James H. and Josephine (Nelson) Coffman, Dixie was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence “Bud” Cline; her grandson, Jimmy “Bubba” Cline; and her brother, Jimmy “JC” Coffman.

Dixie leaves behind a lifetime of memories—weekends at Lake Erie, countless handmade treasures, games of cards and bingo, puzzles waiting to be finished, and, most importantly, a family who knew just how deeply they were loved.
