Don Carl Graves

Don Carl Graves, 86, of Cherokee, OK and formerly of Wakeman, OH, died on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 under hospice care surrounded by his family. Born September 29, 1939 in Norwalk, to Fred and Doris (Denman) Graves, Don grew up in Wakeman and graduated from Wakeman High School in 1957. At 21, he became a volunteer fireman with the Wakeman Fire Department, serving for 37 years.

A mechanic, Don worked at ENL Transport and for Norwalk Furniture. Also, a truck driver, Don, was proud to have owned his own truck. Don settled in Cherokee, Oklahoma.

He enjoyed camping, working on cars, and woodworking. He will be remembered as a wonderful, loving man.

Don is survived by his wife of 67 years, Donna (Tester) Graves; daughter, Debbie Graves, of Norwalk; daughter-in-law, Sandy Graves; 7 grandchildren, Brennan Graves, Kayla Graves, James Graves, Chris Graves, Joe Keller, Mandy Keller and Amber Mullins; numerous great grandchildren and his brother, David Graves. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Darrell Graves in 2021 and brothers, Jack and Bob.
