Wakeman, Ohio - Donald C. Alexander, 44, of Wakeman, Ohio, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2015. He was born September 11, 1971 in Norwalk, Ohio and was a lifelong area resident. Don was an E.H.O.V.E. graduate and attended both Norwalk and Edison Schools. He was a truck driver for 22 years, and especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Don also enjoyed mudding in his Jeep, target shooting, riding motorcycles, and was an avid deer hunter. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Shawn (Cheek) Alexander of Wakeman, Ohio, by his daughters, Titiana Cheek and Katelyn Alexander, by his granddaughters, Ariel Brown and Rosalina Cheek. Don is also survived by his father, Chester and his wife Dorothy (Pheifer) Alexander Jr. of Norwalk, Ohio, by his mother, Pamela (Schweifert) and her husband Chuck (who preceded Don in death) Fortner of Wakeman, Ohio, by his sisters, Teresa Alexander, Ginger (Ed) Dean, Dawn Griffith, Denise (Tim, Jr.) Caudill, and Danielle Wilkinson, several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Walter and Rita Schweifert, and by his paternal grandparents, Chester Alexander Sr. and Jane (Gamble) Ward. A celebration of Don's life will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. in Trinity Chapel, 9746 Barrow Road, Huron, Ohio, where a special service of sharing memories will be held at 1:00 p.m. directed by Pastor Neon.
