Norwalk, Ohio - Donald E. Getz, 91, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2018 in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, Ohio. He was born November 19, 1926 in Willard, Ohio, to the late Edward and Edith (George) Getz, and was a graduate of North Fairfield High School. Don was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in W.W. II. He retired from Fair Publishing Company of Norwalk, Ohio, with 37 years of service. He worked after his retirement at Firelands Fas Print for 10 years. Don was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church. He is survived by his daughters, Linda (Ron) Mizuno of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Marsha Getz of Ellenton, Florida, by 5 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. Don was preceded in death by his son, Terry Getz in 2005, by his brother, John Getz in 2002, and by his partner of 30 years, Delores "Dee" Barber in 2018. Friends may call on Monday, May 21, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio.
