Donald A. Lewis, 84, of West Salem, passed away Friday, March 1, 2024 at Ohio Health Hospital in Mansfield.  Don was born in Elyria on September 13, 1939 to parents Frances and Wilhemenia Lewis and spent most of his life in the Camden Township area.

For over 22 years, Donald performed track maintenance for the railroad. He also worked at Krystowski Tractor as a mechanic, retiring after 16 years with the company. He coached softball and enjoyed antique tractors. In his spare time, Don loved woodworking and proudly made swings and tables for family.

Survivors include his sons, Duane Lewis, Bobby (Theresa) Lewis, Danny (Chris) Lewis, Russell (Beverly) Lewis and Geoff (Amy) Lewis; 4 stepchildren, Laurie (Gary) Grubbs, Kathy (Todd) Field, Vicky Shearer, and Sharon (Tim) Buren; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara in 2010; son Donald E. Lewis; and 7 siblings.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 7, from 6-8 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington and from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Memorial Service on Friday. Burial will follow at Camden Township Cemetery.
