Donna Jean Bond, 77, of Oberlin, surrounded by her loving family, died on Friday, March 1, 2024 at her home. Donna was born on March 22, 1946 in Oberlin. A 1964 Oberlin High School graduate, Donna spent most of her life in the Oberlin and Wellington areas.

An LPN, Donna cared for patients at the Oberlin Hospital, the Oberlin Clinic and the Gates Building. Nursing was her true calling and she loved helping others. Donna was a member of the Wellington Eagles, a former Girl Scout leader and volunteered for the Lorain County Relay for Life.

Donna could always be found at a good yard sale or thrift shop looking for treasures, including more items for her frog collection. She loved being "on the go."

She leaves behind her daughter, Lynette (Matthew Porter) Pay; grandchildren, Jeremiah, Bridgett, Bree, Luke, Hayden, Hunter and Markail (Max) and 6 great grandchildren. Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jean Bond; father, James Lindsey; mother, Marian (Norris) Morning and stepfather, Robert Morning.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, March 6 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main Street, Wellington.
