Donna R. Curtiss, age 76, of Greenwich, died Thursday, October 1, 2009 at Fisher Titus Medical Center, Norwalk. She was born October 14 , 1932 in Ripley Twp., daughter of the late Vern M. and Ruth (Swanger) Barre. Donna had lived most of her life in the Greenwich area. She was a 1950 graduate of Greenwich High School. She had worked at Leroy Tractor in Greenwich, Stewart Pharmacy in Honolulu, Hawaii while her husband was stationed in the Navy from 1952 ' 1955, at R.R. Donneley & Sons in Willard, Fleetwood Enterprises, Greenwich, and Home Health Care in Greenwich until her retirement. Donna was a member of the Greenwich United Methodist Church. She enjoyed her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, James P. Curtiss, whom she married May 5, 1952; her son, Timothy J. (Joy) Curtiss of Ashville, Ohio; her daughter, Tina M (Jeff) Steiber of Norwalk; 4 grandchildren; her sister, Deborah Brown of Greenwich; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Gene V. Barre and several half brothers and sisters. A private memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 5 at the Eastman Funeral Home, 49 W. Main St., Greenwich with Pastor Georgette Gaston officiating.
