Donna Jean (Krontz) Jenkins, 89, of Norwalk, died at home surrounded by her family on October 9, 2024, after a brief illness. She was born on February 26, 1935, in Toledo, Ohio, to Glen and Esther Krontz.
Donna was full of life, anyone that knew her can tell you she was full of love, laughter, and spunkiness to be reckoned with. Donna loved her family deeply. She, along with her late husband, Kenny (Wimp) opened their home and supported anyone in need.
Donna had multiple jobs throughout her life, she retired alongside her husband from Tenneco in 1992, where she worked as a vending machine attendant. Donna was a 40-year member of the Norwalk Eagles Aerie #711 and a member of the VFW Post 2743 Ladies Auxiliary. After her retirement she enjoyed gambling, bingo, traveling, and just enjoying her family and friends.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Esther Krontz; brother, Robert Krontz; sisters, Phyllis Krontz, Naida Shively, and Nadine Barney; her husband, Kenneth Jenkins, friend, Cloyd Purtee; daughter, Debra Pflieger; sons-in-law, Dave Baker and Richard Doughty Sr; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Jenkins; and grandsons, Jack Lynch, and Robert Doughty.
Donna is survived by her children, Dawn Baker, Denise Doughty, Donita & Gary Evans, David & Laura Myers, Wayne & Michelle Jenkins, Jodie Lynch, Ernie Jenkins, Donna & Calvin Conaway, and David (Ben) Bowling; Niece, Judy & Bill Palmer; and son-in-law Brian Pflieger; 20 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Donna Jean Jenkins will be greatly missed, she filled our lives with love, laughter, and unconditional love.
Family and friends may call on Sunday, October 13, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk, OH 44857. A funeral will be held the following day, Monday, October 14, 2024, at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home beginning at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Philip Gardner officiating. Burial will follow the conclusion of the service at Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
