Donna Jean Rice, age 82, of North Fairfield, died Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Fisher Titus Medical Center, Norwalk. She was born July 6, 1931 in Toledo, Ohio, daughter of the late George and Margaret ( Perrine ) Earlie. Donna had lived in Cleveland and North Fairfield. She was a graduate of Tiffin University. Donna worked at McGean Chemical in Cleveland as an Executive Administrator for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing cards and fishing. She was the best mother and grandmother anyone could ask for. She was described by Gene, her husband, as the "best honey of my life." Donna is survived by her husband of 17 years, Gene Rice; her children, Dale (Kathy) Mitchell, Kerry (Jackie) Mitchell, Trina (Tony) Case, Kent (Vanessa) Keller, Keith (Kim) Rice, Debbie (Mike) Switzer and daughter Cathy; 27 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and her siblings, Karol Richardson and Danny Earlie. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Phillip Keller, her son, Bobby Keller and sister Toy. Friends may call from 10 - 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. until time of the service at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 2, 2014 at the Eastman Funeral Home, 49 West Main St., Greenwich.
