Norwalk, Ohio - Dorene A. Penwell, 59, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2017, in her home. She was born to the late Henry H. and Frances M. (Shelly) Hersha, in Norwalk, Ohio, where she remained a lifelong area resident. She was a member of the Eagles Aerie 711, in Norwalk, Ohio and she enjoyed playing softball, bingo, swimming, playing cards, and camping. Dorene especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Nicole A. (Russell Adams) Stover, of Bells Texas, by her grandchildren, Izaya Stover, and Madisyn Adams, by her sisters, Sandy Cox, of Norwalk, Ohio, and Chris (Terry) Dunlap, of Sandusky, Ohio, and by her good friend, Bart Stover, of Ashland, Ohio. Dorene is preceded in death by her husband, Harley "Butch" Penwell, in 2011, and by her brothers, Bill, Mike, and Larry. There will be no visitation or service at this time.
