Doris M. Francis, age 73, of Greenwich, died Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at Hillside Acres in Willard, after a lengthy illness. Doris was born September 24, 1934 in New London, daughter of the late, Leo & Maude (Martin) Francis, Sr. She had lived most of her life in Greenwich. Doris had worked at Norstat in Norwalk for 20 years. She enjoyed flowers, gardening and crocheting. She is survived by 2 sons, Roger Francis of Shelby and Russel Francis of Greenwich; 3 grandsons; 1 great grandson; and a brother, Leo Francis, Jr. of Ashland. She was preceded in death by twin sister, Dorothy Francis; half brothers, Lowel, Paul and Lawrence Granneman; and 4 half sisters, Majorie Mills, Virginia Jackson, Juanita Hunter and Mary Belle Mills. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 12, 2008 at the Eastman Funeral Home, 49 W. Main St., Greenwich, where friends may call from Noon until the time of service.
