Norwalk, Ohio - Doris L. Saxton, 99, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2019 in Gaymont Care and Rehabilitation Center, Norwalk, Ohio. She was born January 13, 1920, in Clarksfield, Ohio, to the late Charles and Clara (Sheldon) Arnold.

Raised in Huron County, Doris moved to Michigan and returned to this area in 2006 from Detroit, Michigan, where she lived for 40 years. She was a member of the Heritage Free Will Baptist Church in Taylor, Michigan. Doris was a former waitress at the Midwest Restaurant in Monroeville, Ohio.

She is survived by her children, Norman E. (Lois) Saxton of Norwalk, Ohio, and Caroline Jane (Ray) Goley of Kentucky, by 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and 3 step grandchildren. Doris is also survived by her sister, Ruth Mae Arnold of Columbus, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Earl Saxton in 1965, by her daughter, Hazel Cathleen O'Neil in 2008, by her brother, Richard Arnold, and by one grandchild.

Friends may call on Saturday, March 30, 2019 from 10:00 a. m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. in Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Monroeville, Ohio.
