December 1, 1930 – December 12, 2020
Dorothy L. Jackson, 90, a resident of New London for over 70 years, died at her home Saturday, December 12 surrounded by family, and in the care of SouthernCare Hospice of Milan. Her death was a direct result of the Covid 19 Virus. Born in Ostrander, Ohio on December 1, 1930, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Riley and Nora (nee Bail) Fultz. She worked at CE Ward in New London for many years. In her heart, Dorothy was a homemaker who spent her life raising her family; she taught them about getting a good education and helped them learn to raise their own families.
Survivors include her children, Darrell (Rose) Jackson of New London, Dianne (Jerry) Randleman of New London, Darwin (Lynna) Jackson of Marlboro, VT, Debbie (Mike) Donelson, of Spring, TX, DeLee Jackson Rogers of Akron and Dawn Jackson Cook of New London; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 2 sisters: Ruth Jones of Marion and Barbara Runkle of Evansville, IN along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean P. Jackson; son, Daniel D. Jackson; granddaughter, Aubrey Cook and sister, Irene Workman.
Private family graveside services were held at Holy Cross Cemetery, New London. A public celebration of life is being planned for a later date.
