Dorothy Hunt, 83, of Wellington, died Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Mercy Allen after a lengthy illness. She was born on March 13, 1928 in Pike Co. KY to the late Green and Rebecca (nee Blackburn) Justice. She attended and graduated from Feds Creek High School. Dorothy and her husband moved to Wellington in 1956. Dorothy was an active member of Christ Community Church in Wellington and served as the secretary for the Awana program. She was an avid reader, an excellent cook and she also enjoyed crocheting. Dorothy also loved music and singing, and was known to sing whether she had music or not. Dorothy leaves behind her loving husband of 63 years, James Hunt, daughters Sandra (Mike) Adams, Judy (Steve) O'Neal, and Janet (Alan) Smith all of Wellington, Grandchildren, Beverly Stephens, Michelle Orsik, Mathew, Jeffrey, and Christopher Adams, Russ and Jason Maze, Jessica Hoskins, Terry Goble Jr., Brandy Meyer, Brook White, Roni Jacobs, Audrey Diller, James Goble, and Emily Smith, as well as 20 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Carrie Coleman, Pearlie Coleman, Ruby Hall, and Stella Coleman. Dorothy was preceded in death by her siblings Albert, Arson, Finice, and Marvin Justice and Flora Kendrick and a great grandson Gage Meyer. Friends and family will be received on Monday, January 2 from 5-8 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main St., Wellington where services will be held on Tuesday, January 3 at 11 a.m., Rev Gary West officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Wellington. In lieu of flowers donations may be directed to Christ Community Church, 212 W. Herrick Ave., Wellington, 44090.
