Dorothy L. Copsey, 92, of Greenwich, died on Saturday, November 26, 2022, while visiting family in Ludington, MI. Dorothy was born on November 30, 1929, in North Fairfield, she was the daughter of Elmer and Dora (Hinckley) Moffit.

She was a 1947 graduate of New London High School and has been a lifelong resident of the area. Dorothy was a talented seamstress having worked for CE Ward, New London, Cresco Manufacturing, Ashland and Kent Sporting Goods, New London. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting in her free time. She loved to go camping and playing cards, even if she didn't always play fair.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Rick (Nancy) Copsey; daughter in law, Susan Copsey; 11 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Charlie. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Copsey; children, Mary Pay, Jim Copsey, Linda Simmons and Eric Copsey; one grandson Josh Turner and one great-grandson Mark Shonkwiler; brothers, Robert, Lyle and Bill Moffit; sister, LaDonna Moffit
