Obituary

Dorothy M. Morgan, 72, of Huntington, died Saturday, March 24, 2012 surrounded by her family. She was born on November 21, 1939 to the late Leonard and Hazel (nee Heath) Berg in Oberlin. Dorothy spent her childhood in the Oberlin area and was a 1957 graduate of Oberlin High School and later moved to Huntington. Dorothy and her husband Larry owned and operated the Farmers Meat Market in both Oberlin and Huntington. She was an active member of the United Church of Huntington. Dorothy enjoyed being outdoors, feeding the birds and working in her flower gardens. She was also a talented pianist and collected antiques. She enjoyed working on the family's genealogy as well. Most of all Dorothy loved being with her family, she would attend her grandchildren's events and always enjoyed going to family and friends gatherings and will be remembered as a good cook. Dorothy is survived by her sons, Jeff (Kim) Morgan of Centennial CO., Ken (Lisa) Morgan of Spencer, Mark (Beth) Morgan of Elyria, and Duane (Sharlona) Morgan of Lynchburg VA, as well as 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Ed Berg of Oak Harbor. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Larry. Friends and family will be received on Monday, March 26, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the United Church of Huntington, 26677 State Route 58, Wellington, where services will be held on Tuesday beginning at 11 a.m. with Rev. Stephen Carmany officiating. Donations in Dorothy's memory may be directed to either New Life Hospice, 5255 N. Abbe Rd., Elyria, 44035, or the United Church of Huntington.
