Dorothy Fern Scoville, 85, of Wellington died Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at the Elms Retirement Village. Born in Wellington to the late Floyd and Irma (nee Haning) Scoville on January 4, 1925, Dorothy graduated from Wellington High School in 1942. She also earned degrees from Bliss Business College in Columbus, Ohio and Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee. Dorothy lived in California for four years, but returned to Wellington in 1965. She retired from teaching in 1983 after 33 years in several different school districts. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wellington. Survivors include her two sisters, Mary McCullough of CA and Alice Collins of TX; 2 nieces; a nephew and 6 great nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 25, 2010 at 6 P.M. at the First Baptist Church of Wellington, 125 Grand Avenue, Wellington. Donations in Dorothy's memory may be directed to the First Baptist Church.
