Edith Jane Mekoleske, age 84, of Wellington, died Sunday, December 23 at Allen Medical Center in Oberlin. She was born on May 22, 1923 in Rochester to the late Samuel and Maggie Shick. Edith had lived in the Penfield area since the 1940's. Edith was a member of the Penfield Community Church and she was an avid game player. Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Charles, and three sons, Charles (Pennie) Mekoleske of Grafton, Otis (Barb) Mekoleske of Wooster, and David Mekoleske of Wellington. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Edith was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Friends may call from 10 am until 12 pm on Thursday, December 27th at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington. Funeral services will begin at 12 pm with Pastor Chris Reutepohler officiating. Burial will follow at Penfield Cemetery.
