Edith J. Nance, 76, died Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in Lorain. On December 17, 1939, Edith was born in Oberlin to the late Joseph Frank and Verna (nee Betts) Mull. She was a lifelong Wellington area resident and graduated from Wellington High School in 1958. At one time, Edith was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Freewill Baptist Church in Wellington. Family was very important to Edith. She simply adored her grandkids and great grandkids and enjoyed spending time with neighborhood kids. Edith loved lunches with her mother and sisters. Edith is survived by her husband, Orville Nance; children, Dennis Nance, Brenda (Jeff) Cole, and Missy (David) Skinner, all of Wellington; 7 grandchildren, Jeremy Nance , Jason Sharp, Josh Cole, Jaime Leiby, Joslyn Orsik, Justin Skinner and Jayden Skinner and 11 great grandchildren. Survivors also include her siblings, Ellen Brasee, of Pittsfield, Donna Bates, of Milan, David Mull, of Pittsfield, Lloyd Mull, of Pittsfield and Lorna Hendricks, of Pittsfield. In addition to her parents, Edith was preceded in death by her sister, Elsie. Calling hours will be Wednesday, November 9 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington. Funeral services will be on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Pittsfield Community Church, 17026 State Route 58, with Pastor Jonathan Cheatham officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Wellington.
