EASTMAN FUNERAL HOME 419-929-3781 Edna Mae Burns, age 93, of New London, died May 11, 2013 at the Rehabilitation & Nursing Center at Firelands, New London. She was born July 28, 1919 in Woodsfield, Ohio, daughter of the late Henry and Laura (Parks) Bright. Edna attended Woodsfield schools. She had lived in New London for over 75 years. Edna had worked at C.E. Ward Co., New London as a seamstress for over 35 years. She loved to sew, garden, and enjoyed reading. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ruth Humphrey and Bill Johnson of Greenwich; 2 grandchildren, Ryan (Kristen) Johnson and Curtis (Amanda) Johnson; 4 great grandchildren, Kaylyn, Maya, Grant and Caden. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Oscar Burns in 1972, several brothers and sisters. Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2013 at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main St., New London with Pastor Doug Lang officiating.
