Edna M. Hale, age 77, of Greenwich, died Friday, May 23, at Twilight Gardens Nursing Home, Norwalk after a short illness. She was born July 20, 1930 in Gunlock, Kentucky, daughter of the late Mary & Archer Shepherd, Sr. She had lived in Greenwich since the mid 1950's. Mrs. Hale was of the Old Regular Baptist Faith. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her family, cooking and gardening.
She is survived by her husband, Glenn Hale, whom she married February 20, 1948; her children, Glenna, Julia, Vickie & Gary, Nelson, Darrell & Patty, John all of Greenwich, Jerry of Plymouth; 25 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren; Brothers, William, Abe, Reggie, Wade, Joseph all of Kentucky; sisters, Sally, Polly, Betty, Margie, Donna, Daisy, Shirley. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Cassie Mullins, Jackie Hale, her sons, Ralph and Kerry Hale, 3 grandsons, 1 great grandson.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Little Rebecca Old Regular Baptist Church, 4982 Henry Rd., Plymouth Elder Buddy Carty will officiate. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, New Haven. Memorials if desired may be given to the family in care of the funeral home.
