Edward Joseph Haffner, 64, of Brighton, died Tuesday, September 3, 2019. Born on November 16, 1954 in Berea, he was the son of the late Edward E. And Rose (nee McCafferty) Haffner. Edward was a graduate of Berea High School and attended Kent State University. He and his family moved to the Brighton area in 1991. Edward was self employed as a finish carpenter. He enjoyed tending to and raising pheasants at his home. An avid reader, Edward loved anything related to history. Survivors include his wife of 38 years Mindy (nee Linard); son Evan Haffner; sisters, Kathy Kranbuhl, of NY, Rose Ann Haffner, of Berea, Mary Haffner of Berea, Terry Garrity of Olmsted Falls, Peggy Graves, of MO, Chris Mustar, of Brunswick, brothers, Joe Haffner, of CO, Mike Haffner of MO, Bob Haffner, of Strongsville, and Jim Haffner, of OK. Edward was preceded in death by his sister Patty Healey. Friends and family will gather on Saturday September 21, from 2-4 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main St, Wellington. With services beginning at 4 p.m.
