Edward Dean Kelsey, Sr., 88, of LaGrange, died Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at New Life Hospice in Lorain. Born in Rochester on October 21, 1926 to the late Harold Clinton and Maxine (nee Skeeles) Kelsey, Edward grew up in the Huntington area and graduated from Wellington High School. Edward worked as the Farm Manager of the Prison Farm in Grafton for 30 years. He had previously been a brick layer.
He enjoyed and was active with Grafton Hot Stove Baseball, Bowling, LaGrange Game Club and Bluegrass for many years.
Survivors include his loving wife of 67 years, Lillian G. (nee Wilcox) Kelsey; children, Deanna Houston, of Lorain, Ed (Carol) Kelsey, Jr., of Greenwich, Lawrence (Amy) Kelsey, of Berea, Kenneth (Rhonda) Kelsey, of LaGrange, and Dale (Jodi) Kelsey, of Tennessee; 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Edward is also survived by siblings, Doris Siegfried, of Elyria, Wilbur Kelsey, of Huntington and Barbara Falkner, of Marietta. He was preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn Brown.
