Edward Dean Sutphin, 59, of Wellington, died Wednesday, May 2, 2012. He was born in Avery, VA on September 8, 1952 to the late Early and Mary (nee James) Sutphin. Edward lived most of his life in the Wellington area and was a 1970 graduate of Wellington High School.
Edward was a welder by trade and worked for Wedge Wire and most recently for the Billington Co. He also owned and operated Crossroads Billiards. Edward was a member of the Wellington Eagles #2051 he also enjoyed gardening, listening to music, playing billiards and spending time with his grandkids.
Edward is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Connie; sons, Glen (Laura) Sutphin of Las Vegas and Jason (Kathryn) Sutphin of Wakeman; step-daughters, Kerri Ringler of Toledo and Katie Ringler of Findlay; grandchildren, Caleb Dean, Elizabeth Sue, and Tristin James; and a brother Harless Sutphin of Oberlin. Edward was preceded in death by his a brother, David and his first wife, Demetrius.
Friends and family will be received on Saturday May 5, at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main St., Wellington, from 4 p.m. until the time of services beginning at 7 p.m.
