After battling a long illness Edwin Eugene 'Pep' Charles, Sr. of Wellington, suffers no more as he went to be with the Lord on November 20, 2009. He fought the good fight. He finished the race. He kept his faith. He is survived by his wife Roberta Charles, sons Edwin R. Charles and his wife Karen, David Charles and his wife Elizabeth, and daughter, Nancy Brotherton and her husband Bruce, 7 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. Born October 7, 1931 in Pennsylvania, he loved when any team from Pennsylvania beat any team from Ohio and the first home grown tomatoes of summer. Anyone who knew him also knows that he loved to laugh and tease but most of all he loved his family and all of those he considered family. He was an uncommon example of kindness and generosity and will be missed by many. Today we celebrate the legacy that he has left.
