Elizabeth Margaret Pitts, age 91, of Wellington, died Sunday, July 22, 2007 at the Elms Retirement Village in Wellington, after a short illness.
Mrs. Pitts was born August 17, 1915 in Maple Heights, Ohio, daughter of the late, John & Anna (Krupanski) Hoprich. She was a 1935 graduate of Maple Heights High School.
She was a clerk for a drug store and had owned and operated a restaurant. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Wellington. Mrs. Pitts enjoyed gardening and baking. She was a loving sister and aunt, and a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Moore of Wellington; a son, Timothy (Carmella) Pitts of Bainbridge; a daughter-in-law, Karen Pitts of Willowick; 9 grandchildren, Kevin, Kimberly, Sean, Adrian, Tracy, Danette, Daniel, Tina & Lisa; 9 great grandchildren, including Katherine, Elizabeth, and Sarah Moore of Wellington and Rebecca Moore of Lewis Center and Megan, Alexandria, Robert, Alexandra & Jessica; 2 sisters, Pauline Nystrom and Grace Kisch both of Euclid, Ohio; and a brother, Norman (Marge) Hoprich of Garfield Heights, Ohio. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeanette Pitts; a son, Joseph Pitts; a son-in-law, Donald Moore; 3 sisters, Ann and Edna Hoprich and Gertrude Gazzola; and 3 brothers, John, Carl, and George Hoprich.
Friends may call 1:30 p.m. Thursday, July 26 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 512 N. Main St., Wellington where Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 2:30 p.m.
Rev. James Reymann will officiate. Burial will take place at a later date. Norton-Eastman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
