Elizabeth  (Betty) Marie Smith, 92, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, April 1, 2020.  Betty was a very special, loving, caring and compassionate wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Betty was a lifelong resident of Norwalk and a devout parishioner of St. Mary's Catholic Church and a member of the D of I.  She had been employed at Norwalk Trucklines, Durkees, Maple City Ice, and owned the Sandwich Shop on Main Street along with her late husband.

She is survived by her children Kevin (Beatrice Johnson), Dennis (Debbie Stein), Colleen (Stuart) Schillig, and Kathleen (Allen) Smith.  Betty had 6 wonderful grandchildren, Brittany (Matt) Hayes, Brandon Schillig, Breeann Schillig, Nathaniel (Monique) Smith, Megan Smith, and Ben Smith.  Along with one great grandchild, Tatum Hayes.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband Donald (Shoes) Smith, and her brother Thomas (Helen) O'Neill.

It is with deep regret, that due to circumstances beyond our control that there will be no calling hours, and a private service will be held. The burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery for immediate family.  A memorial mass will be held at a later date.
