Eloise Sharp, 92, of Brighton, passed away on Sunday May 10, 2026. Born on September 9, 1933, in Oberlin, she was the daughter of the late Maurice R. and Grace Marie (nee Auble) Davidson. Eloise was a lifelong resident of Brighton and a graduate of Brighton High School.
Eloise worked for the United States Post Office as a postal carrier for many years. Prior to that she worked at Oberlin Savings Bank and mowed lawns at the Lorain County JVS. Eloise was a member of the Brighton United Methodist Church and had been a member of the Camden Fire Ladies Auxiliary. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed crafting and arranging flowers. Eloise loved going to auctions, looking for antiques. A devoted grandmother, she truly loved watching her grandkids compete in sports and show at the county fair.
Survivors include her daughters, Sandy (Fred) Pitts, of Wellington, and Cindy (Walter) Piwinski, of Oberlin; grandchildren, Amy (Scott) Busler, Matthew Piwinski, Adam (Jaci) Pitts, and Lisa (Chris) Hozalski; and great grandchildren, Parker, Roston, Morgan, Lucas, Jud, Jax, and Jep. In addition to her parents, Eloise was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Sharp.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 18, starting at 11 a.m. at Brighton Township Cemetery, State Route 511. Donations in Eloise’s memory may be directed to the Camden Fire Department, PO Box 124, Kipton, OH 44049 or to the Brighton United Methodist Church, 51011 State Route 18, Wellington, OH 44090.
