Else Spoerr, age 88, of New London, died Saturday, May 07, 2011 at Wadsworth- Rittman Hospital. She was born November 23, 1922 in Germany and came to America in 1952. Else moved to the New London area in the early 70's and then to the Seville and Wadsworth areas in 2006.Else owned and operated a dairy farm in New London with her husband, Ellsworth. She is survived by her children, Ingrid McCaman of Wadsworth and Bernard 'Bennie' Wegner of Monroeville; many grand and great grandchildren. Else was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Robert Wegner; 2nd husband, Ellsworth Spoerr; sons, Helmut Wegner and Robert Wegner; daughter, Linda Ivanic; grandson, Robert P. Wegner; and 3 brothers. Friends may call Tuesday, May 10, 2011 from 5 to 8 pm at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main St., New London where Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Grove Street Cemetery in New London.
