Elsie Lee Smith, 95, of Wellington, went to be with our Lord on March 10, 2022 at Mercy Allen Hospital in Oberlin. Born in Fayette County, Pennsylvania on August 3, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Elsie (nee Helmick) and Elroy McElfresh. She was a 1944 German Township High School graduate and resided in Valley City, Litchfield, and Lacombe, LA before residing in Wellington.

Elsie was a member of Faith Christian Church of Spencer and Eaton Grange. She was a talented seamstress, and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Elsie received many awards for her submissions to both the Lorain County and Ohio State Fair.

Left to treasure her memory are her children, John (Sandra) Cramer, of Puerto Rico, and daughter, Janice (Jeff) Paynowski, of Medina; grandchildren, Yvonne (David) Brown, Brian Cramer, Eric and Erin Rivera, Shelby Cramer, Kali Harper, Kelsey and Taren Cramer and Scott Mowery, and 8 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Cramer (1987); second husband, Ivan Smith (2009); children, Robert Cramer, Jackie Rivera, Edward Cramer Jr. and step-son, James Smith.
