Emil Peter Sikora, 75, of Wellington, died Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at his home surrounded by family. Emil was born on April 28, 1934 in Maynard, Ohio to the late Joseph and Anna Mae Sikora.
In 1991, Emil retired from the Ford Plant in Lorain after over 30 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wellington and in his younger years enjoyed helping out at the fairgrounds. He also loved his grandchildren and horses.
Emil is survived by his loving wife of almost 56 years, Jane; children, Michael (Janet) Sikora of Kent City, MI, Martin Sikora of Wellington, Cynthia (Don) Falasca of Westlake, Beth (Kurt) Jansen of Belding, MI, April (Gary) Wylie of Mesa, AZ, Jason Spradlin of Elyria and Amber (Marcos) Bautista of Cleveland; 26 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is also survived by four siblings, Joe, Jerry and Phil Sikora and Rose Sines. Emil was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Andrews and brothers, Billy and Michael Sikora.
Friends and family will be received from 6-9 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Wellington, 125 Grand Ave., with Pastor Thomas Alexander officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Wellington.
