Obituary

Emma Lue Peppard, age 65, of Nova, died early Saturday, May 19, 2007 at the Cleveland Clinic, after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Peppard was born January 5, 1942 in Floyd County, Kentucky, daughter of the late, Charlie & Clara G. (Lykens) Clark. She had lived most of her life in the Nova and Ruggles Twp. Areas. She had been employed at the former Cresco Mfg. of Ashland and was a nurses aide at Brethren Care Village in Ashland. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Savannah and a lifetime member of the Ashland VFW #1067 Auxiliary. She loved her family, spending time with her grandchildren and watching their baseball games. She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Chuck Peppard; 2 daughters, Lois MacKenzie of Nova and Brenda Lee (Shelby) Cutlip both of Nova; 3 sons, Jim Lawson of Nankin, David (Tecka) Sanders of Nova and Dan (Beth) Sanders of Ashland; 17 grandchildren, Jimmy, Jeremy and Torrey Lawson, Tonya (Welch), Adam, Brad and Shawn MacKenzie, Brice and Bryor Huff, Logan and Derek Cutlip, David, Brianne, Austin and Hunter Sanders, Garett and Kaylee Haines; 5 great grandchildren; 4 sisters, Sue (Mitch) Lilly & Jewell Arms of Plymouth, Pauline (Marty) Goins & Linda (Steve) Pauley of Ocala, FL; 5 brothers, Milford (Phylis) Clark of Savannah, Hillard (Sharon) Clark of Hayesville, Tolva (Susie) Clark of Nankin, Larry (Nancy) Clark of Sullivan and Charles (Judy) Clark of Ashland. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Kenneth Rae Lawson and a granddaughter, Christy Lawson. Friends may call 6-9 p.m. Monday, May 21, 2007 and 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at Bethel Baptist Church, 575 US Route 250 N., Savannah. Pastor John Bouquet will officiate and burial will follow in the Nova Cemetery.
