Emma Elizabeth Randleman, age 90, of New London, died Friday, November 20, 2009 at The Rehabilitation & Nursing Center at Firelands, New London. She was born May 28, 1919 in Cleveland, daughter of the late Clarence L. and Lola (Mumford) Stewart. She originally came to New London as a teenage girl in the 1930's living with Aunt Sadie and Uncle Bob Love of Exchange Rd., New London. They took her in as a foster daughter before she was orphaned at the age of 16. She had worked for the General Accounting Office in Cleveland, the Shelby Air Depot, F.E. Myers Corp. in Ashland, the Gentile Air Force and Cresco Manufacturing in Ashland. She was a member of the New London United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her stepchildren, Linda Russin of Toledo, Ohio, Valarie Randleman of New York, Marvin and Kevin Randleman both of New London; several nieces and nephews; a brother, DeWitt Clinton Stewart of Yeadon, Pa. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Russell Stewart, Clarence L. Stewart, Betty E. Stewart, Jean Isom.
There will be private services at a later time. Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main St., New London were in charge of arrangements. Memorials if desired may be given to the New London United Methodist Church, 58 E. Main St., New London, Ohio 44851.
