Emma Margaret Taulbee, 91, of Wellington, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 25, 2018, surrounded by her loving family at Keystone Pointe in LaGrange, Ohio. Emma was born on November 17, 1926, in Pittsburg, PA to the late Earl and Lillian (nee Morris) Mayhugh. She later moved to Cleveland where she met and married James Taulbee of Portsmouth, Ohio. Emma worked and managed several restaurants while in Cleveland. In 1958 James and Emma relocated to a farm in the Wakeman area. In 1965 they came to Wellington to operate the Isaly's restaurant which was later renamed "J & E" restaurant. They did this until the restaurant closed in 1973. Emma later began work at the Wellington Hospital; she worked there for 12 years until it closed. She then took a job at Weber's and retired in 1992. Emma volunteered at the Oberlin Thrift Store and the Oberlin Library. She also enjoyed traveling, playing Bingo, taking bus trips, and going to garage sales, where she had a knack for finding things that she knew others might need. She is survived by her loving children, Jim M. Taulbee, of Cleveland and Linda (James) Ross, of Pittsfield; 17 grandchildren; 51 great grandchildren; 19 great-great grandchildren and her brother, Raymond Mayhugh of Pittsburg, PA. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 31 years, James E. Taulbee; daughters, Darlene Neville and Carol Leonardi; son-in-law, Harry Leonardi; great grandson, Gabriel Wilson; four brothers, Earl, Robert, Howard and Harry Mayhugh and 4 sisters, Hazel Schneider, Lillian Kopps, Anna Bukovan and Betty Corcoran. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018 from 4-7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until services begin at 11 a.m., at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main Street, Wellington. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to the National MS Society, P.O. Box 4527 New York, NY 10163.
