Erik E. Lane, 56, of Norwalk, died on December 15, 2020 at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky.  He was born on January 29, 1964 in Norwalk to Tom Lane and the late Ursula (Lang) Lane.  He was a 1982 Norwalk High School/EHOVE graduate.

Erik was an extremely hard worker who had a huge heart.  His will was often tested by the many ailments he dealt with throughout his life, but his wonderful sense of humor and determination made him an endearing spirit to his many friends and family.

He was an Ohio State Buckeyes, Indians, Browns and Packers fan who enjoyed classic rock.  Erik had worked at Lorain County Correctional Institution as a corrections officer.  He was a former member of the Norwalk Ohio Jaycees, Norwalk and Western Model Train Club and the Norwalk Eagles Aerie 711.

Survivors include his sons, Derik Lane, and Dustin (Allison) Lane; his brother, Mark (Teresa) Lane; his grandson, Carter; his favorite niece, Sarah (Jon) Roan and numerous cousins from Pennsylvania to Germany.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Ursula (Lang) Lane.
