Eula Lee "Dee" Gallatin, 92, died Sunday, February 3, 2013 at Welcome Nursing Home in Oberlin. Born on February 9, 1920 in Hampton County, SC, Dee lived most of her life in Beaufort, SC. She moved to Wellington in 1978.
Dee was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Wellington in her younger years and was also a member of the Eastern Star. An extremely talented seamstress, Dee could sew anything, including wedding dresses. She loved fishing and had a knack for always catching the most fish.
Survivors include her son, Danny (Robin) Gallatin, Sr., of Wellington; grandchildren, Brandy (Jerod Kidd) Gallatin and Danny (Christina) Gallatin, Jr. and a great grandson, Leland. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Elle Peeples; husband, Harry Gallatin and 6 siblings, Otis, Herman, Hayward, Irma, Van and Odell.
Friends and family may call from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, February 7 at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington, and again on Friday from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. Funeral Service.
