Eunice Leota Boyd, age 86 peacefully entered into eternal rest on Monday December 12, 2011 at the Norwalk Memorial Home Norwalk, Ohio. She was born May 10, 1925 in New London, Ohio to the late Myrtle Evege DeJarnette and Noah DeJarnette and lived most of her life in the New London/Norwalk area. She was preceded in death by her beloved late husband, John Henry Boyd, after 36 years of marriage in 1997, a son Rodney Allen Poole, a daughter, Geraldine Grantham, her sister, Noreen Calloway and her children's father, the late Alvin A. Poole. Her life-long friend, Coco (her dog) and two great-great granddaughters. Mrs. Boyd was a life-long member of Second Baptist Church, New London serving in many capacities. She was employed by Fisher-Titus Hospital in Norwalk, Ohio. She was a housekeeper for Ted Cunningham for several years and later retired from New London High School. She leaves to cherish her precious memory, her son, Ronald E. Poole, New London, daughters, Connie M. (Cooper) Hawkins, Akron and Janice L. Rembert, Louisville, Ky; 8 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great Grandchildren. Calling Hours will be Thursday, December 15, 2011 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 pm at Second Baptist Church, 41 North Maple Street, New London. Services will be held Friday, December 16, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at New London United Methodist Church, 58 East Main Street, New London.
