Eva J. Conley (nee Whitaker), 78, of Greenwich, died Sunday Morning, February 3, 2019 at home surrounded by her family. Born on March 18, 1940 in Gunlock, Ky, to she was the daughter of the late Sam and Julia (nee Hale) Whitaker. She came to Huron County when she was 12. Eva enjoyed spending time outdoors, camping and gardening. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and cherished time spent with her family. She is survived by her children Michael (Cheri) Jones, of New London, Brenda (Tony) Fleming, of Mansfield, Trisha Jones, of Ashland, and Arvile Eric (Tanya) Conley, of Freemont; 13 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; siblings Paul Whiitaker, Van Allen, Claris Oney, and Shelby Downing; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Eva was preceded in death by her brothers Bill, Sam, and Pard Whitaker, and sisters Polly Freeman and Betty Whitaker. Friends and family will gather on Wednesday, February 6, from 12 p.m until the time of services beginning at 1 p.m. at Eastman Funeral Home, 49, West main Street, Greenwich, with Rev. Gary Adkins officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwich Greenlawn Cemetery. Donations in Eva's memory may be directed to St Judes Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN, 38105.
