Evelyn Gail Nell, 76, of Vermilion, known by many as Gail, died Monday June 20, 2016 at the Elms Retirement Village in Wellington. Evelyn was born on July 21, 1939 in Elkins, WV to the late Clarence and Della Bright. Gail spent her childhood in Elkins before moving to the Elyria area where she spent most of her adult life. Gail worked at the Sweden House in Elyria for many years. She enjoyed shopping, fishing and gardening. A very caring person, Gail cherished time spent with her family. She was also a very happy person who had a great sense of humor and loved joking around. Gail is survived by her husband of 46 years, Jimmie Nell; children, Murl Gassnola of Texas, Katrina (Buddy) Gallion of LaGrange, Kimberly (Steve) Bowman of Texas, Mark Marchant of Pennsylvania and Samantha Arbogast of Ohio; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 5 sisters and 4 brothers. She was preceded in death by her son, Joseph Gassnola and 2 brothers. Friends and family will be received on Saturday, June 25, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main Street, Wellington.
