Evelyn S. Snyder, 63, of Columbus, died Friday, April 29, 2011 at Mount Carmel West Hospital, Columbus after a short illness. She was born on May 19, 1947 in New London to the late Elton O. and Violet Lenora (Kennedy) Snyder. Evelyn grew up in Greenwich and lived in Columbus for over 30 years. She was a 1965 graduate of South Central High School in Greenwich. Evelyn served in the United States Army during the late 1960's and was stationed in Germany. Survivors include her siblings, Jerry E. Snyder of Columbus, Carol A. Thompson of Greenwich and Robert A. Snyder of Butler; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. A private graveside service will be held at Greenwich Greenlawn Cemetery.
