Evora Cook, age 94, of New London, died on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at Fisher Titus Medical Center in Norwalk.

She was born on July 12, 1929, to the late Newell and Helen (Smith) Ford. She married Lowell Cook and was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother. All that knew Evora loved her and felt welcome and comfortable in her presence. Strong in her faith, Evora was a member of Barrett's Chapel where she enjoyed worship services.

Evora is survived by her sons, Kenneth (Linda) Cook of New London, and Russell (Barb) Cook of Sandusky; grandchildren, Steven Cook, Savannah (Derek) Castillo, Dustin Leck, and Anna (Brandon) Lieske; and a great-grandchildren, Eloise Puder, Emarie Lieske, and Addie Castillo.

In addition to her parents, Evora was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lowell; a brother, Gene Ford; granddaughter Aubrey Cook.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place at Day Cemetery.
