Fanchon Arlene Wilson, 95, of New London, passed away at the Laurels of New London on Thursday, May 5, 2016.
Born February 18, 1921 in Ruggles Township, Ohio, to Andrew and Mabel (nee Marvin) Kline, Arlene married the love of her life, Harvey Wilson on October 15, 1940 at the Church of Christ parsonage in Greenwich. Together they shared 65 years of marriage.
She graduated from Greenwich High School and was a member of the Church of Christ in Greenwich and was also affiliated with the Fitchville United Methodist Church.
Arlene loved birds, flowers and children. She also enjoyed sewing and crocheting in her earlier years.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Rosemary and John Liles of Collins; grandchildren, Mary Beth Mishkin of LaGrange and Andrew (Lori) Liles of Collins; great grandchildren, Layla and Alex Mishkin, Zane Liles and Jessica Keegan; brother, George Kline of Lancaster; sister-in-law, Pat Kline of Greenwich and many nieces and nephews.
Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Wilson; son, Terry Wilson; granddaughter, Eve Keegan; her parents; 4 sisters and 3 brothers.
Relatives and friends are welcome at Eastman Funeral Home in New London on Monday, May 9, 2016 from 12:30 pm until the 1 pm service with Pastor Timothy McCollum officiating.
