EASTMAN FUNERAL HOME 419-929-3781 Fannie Britt Barnes, age 87, formerly of New London, died Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at Columbus West Park Nursing Home. Mrs. Barnes was born March 29, 1920 in Turkey Knob, WV, daughter of the late, Robert F. & Julia (Leatherwood) Britt. She had lived in Wyandotte, Michigan from 1955 to 1984, moving to New London in 1988. She had worked at the former Nisner's Department Store in Wyandotte. She is survived by 2 step sons, Edward Barnes of Huntington, IN and Jeffrey Barnes of Norwalk; 5 step grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Damon Berry in 1980; 2nd husband, Roy Barnes; a sister, Sarah (Janie) Thomas; brothers, Robert Britt, John Britt, William (Bill) Britt, Homer Britt and half sister, Thelma McDonald. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Saturday, June 23, 2007 at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main Street, New London, where funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 24, 2007.
