Filson D. Elliott, 83, of Findlay, Ohio died Saturday, March 3, 2012 at his home. He was born on June 28, 1928 in Sullivan to the late Hildreth and Verda (nee Finkel) Elliott. Filson proudly served in the United States Air Force and with the Ohio State Highway Patrol, and retired from the Celina Insurance Group after 27 years. He was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church, the American Legion and AMVETS. Filson is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Marilyn (nee Martin); sons Jeffrey (Patricia), Mark, and Scott (Katharine), sister Lois Nixon, 4 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren; and was preceded in death by his sister Mariella Gordon and brothers Chester, Carlos, and Delbert. Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, March 6, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Norton Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main, Wellington, where services will begin at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Sullivan Southview Cemetery.
