Flora M. Evans, 83, of Ashland, died Saturday, May 18 at the Good Shepherd Home, Ashland, OH. She was born on September 11, 1929, in Miami, Florida, daughter to the late Shedrich and Annie (Silas) Robinson. Flora lived in New London and Ashburn, Georgia until she moved to Ashland in 1997. She was a member and sang in the choir in the New London Methodist Church and was currently a member of the New Life Community Church in Ashland Flora worked at the New London Hospital and Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk. She is survived by her children, Mamie L. Singleton; Jeffie W. Evans Jr. and Robert (Madelene) Evans; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Flora was preceded in death by her husband, Jeffie Evans Sr.; daughter, Ruth Sitterly and a great-great grandson, Gabe. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London. Visitation from 1 p.m. Thursday at New Life Community Church, 1489 Ohio 511, Ashland until the time of funeral service at 2 p.m. with Pastor Lisa Page officiating.
