Florence Helen Parsons, 90, of Wellington, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2014. She was born in Amanda, Ohio on April 8, 1923 to the late Mary and Ralph Griffith. Florence was a 1941 graduate of Wellington High School. Florence spent her time helping on the farm and was a member of the Farm Bureau and the Dairy Boosters as well as other dairy farming organizations. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, and collecting bells. Florence is survived by her children, Carolyn (Carl) Knapp, Marie (Gareld) Waite, and Sandra (John) Westfall, all of Wellington, and Martha Sheets and Dale (Pam) Parsons, of Penfield; 17 grandchildren 20 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Mona Rice, Lara Mae Miller, Freda Kerher, Mary Alice Stump, and Jayne Zaayer; and sister-in-law, Agnes Griffith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; grandchildren, Michael Sheets and Dawn Knapp Barlow; brothers, Edgar, Ralph, Max, and Lee; and sisters, Mary Etta, Virginia, and Ann. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, April 9, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main Street, Wellington, where services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Paul Wilson officiating.
