Obituary

Floyd 'Ed' Nicholes, 67, of New London, died November 30, 2011 at Medina Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born May 14, 1944, in Pike County, Kentucky, to the late Floyd and Louise (Leedy) Nicholes. He moved to Huron County in 1960 and lived in Texas from 1976-1988 when he moved back to Ohio and resided in New London for the past 18 years. He worked in auto and body repair shops for many years and drove truck. Ed was a volunteer fireman for 5 years while he lived in Nevada, Texas. Survived by his devoted wife, Donna; sons, Tim and Chris Nicholes both of Wylie, Texas; grandson, Cody Case of New Philadelphia; stepchildren, Lisa Hess, Scott Case and Stacey Case and sister, Myrtle Robinson of Toledo. Ed was preceded in death by his son, Howard Dean Nicholes and sister, Jean Case. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 3 at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main Street, New London. Burial will follow at Collins Cemetery.
