Frances Ellen Vanderpool Caudill, 75, of Willard, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Hospice of North Central Ohio in Ashland after a short illness. She was born on December 31, 1934 in Magoffin County, Kentucky. She had lived in the Delphi area for the past 57 years. Frances was the valedictorian of her New Haven High School graduating class. She was a very active member of the Delphi United Methodist Church. Her talent as a seamstress benefited many people. Everyone will remember her for her strong faith in God and her love for her family. She will be greatly missed by her husband of 57 years, her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, church family and friends.
Survivors include her loving husband, Buford; children, Kathy (Willard) Casto of Mansfield, Pam Berry of Cincinnati and Dan (Terry) Caudill of Willard; 7 Grandchildren and 3 great granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her son, Matthew Caudill in June of 2010, her parents, John and Sarah 'Susie' Vanderpool, her siblings, Buna Collins, Add Vanderpool, Hiram Vanderpool, Harless Vanderpool, Jane Baisden, Lillian Shields, Edd Vanderpool, Clarence 'Pete' Vanderpool and Gwendora Caudill.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday, July 24th at Eastman Funeral Home, 49 West Main Street, Greenwich. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Delphi United Methodist Church, 628 US Rte 224, Willard with Pastor Dan Caudill and Pastor Georgette Gaston officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, New Haven. Memorials if desired may be given to the Delphi United Methodist Church.
